The Sirens began playing over 20 years ago with a travel sevens team. For many years the women played Division 2 fifteens rugby in the ERU and for many years were struggling to put 15 people on the field. Now, we boast over 20 dedicated players playing in Division 1. The Sirens wouldn't be where they are today without the tireless work of Fili Fai (former coach and player), Ferris Sandboe, Laura Miller, Kirsten "Cookie" Cook, Sarah Garner, Mark Rogers, and many more women who have given their blood, sweat, and tears for us to be where we are today. In 2024, the Sirens brought home the trophy for city finals of the Edmonton Rugby Union. Join us to keep it in GP in 2025.
The club is working towards growing the women's team to host two women's teams - a developing and competitive team. If you are interested in learning about rugby or are an experienced player looking for a team we have a spot for you. Come to our practices to meet the coaches, players, and see if the Siren's are the right fit for you!
