The Sirens began playing over 20 years ago with a travel sevens team. For many years the women played Division 2 fifteens rugby in the ERU and were struggling to put 15 people on the field. Now, we boast over 20 dedicated players in Division 1. The Sirens owe their current position to the tireless efforts of Fili Fai (former coach and player), Ferris Sandboe, Laura Miller, Kirsten "Cookie" Cook, Sarah Garner, Mark Rogers, and numerous other women who have dedicated their time and energy to our success. In 2024 and 2025, the Sirens brought home the trophy for the city finals of the Edmonton Rugby Union.
If you are interested in learning about rugby or are an experienced player looking for a team, we have a spot for you. Come to our practices to meet the coaches and players and see if the Sirens are the right fit for you!
