Introduction to Contact (2014-2016)
Our 10-12 age group begins to introduce contact and tackling after the first few weeks of flag rugby and is separated into gender-based teams (where numbers allow). Safety is paramount at this level, and all players are taught the best ways to tackle and receive a tackle safely.
Contact (2011-2013)
Kids ages 13-15 transition to more of a full game, which includes scrums and line-outs and is usually played with 7 players per side. Coaches ensure safety is a top priority and players are comfortable with contact before games begin.

Registration options
Spring registration is now open!!
We run on Mondays from May 4 to June 8 from 6 to 7:30pm. No session for May 18 (Victoria Day). Both age groups take place at Macklin Field, the north part of the field.
What do you need:
-Water Bottle
-Athletic Wear (we play unless there is lightning or poor air quality)
-Cleats or running shoes
-Mouthguard (2014-2016 kids will start with flag/touch but will be learning some contact; 2011-2013 need one the whole time)
Due to an increase in Rugby Canada/Alberta fees, our prices are slightly higher than years past to ensure all players have Rugby Canada insurance. This allows all age groups to participate in ERU festivals should they choose; see coaches for more information.
We have 2 options for registration for our Rookie Rugby age groups: spring only or full year (spring and fall); we will also have a fall-only option closer to that season.
